How do world religions encourage just actions, equity and good example from their followers?
A common practice that world religions enforce is just treatment of others and the poor, which promotes equality and harmony among its followers. Immoral actions have consequences in many religions. For example, in Islam, Allah (God) judges Muslims for their moral actions on the day that they pass on. Depending on whether they were good or bad, Allah will decide if they can pass on into the afterlife. Similarly, in Buddhism, the concept of Karma is enforced. Karma is the belief that what goes around, comes around. In Christianity, immoral actions are a considered a sin – a rebellion against God. All of these beliefs encourage just actions, equity and good example from their followers.
